The Highway Gallery is a  City of Monash  Community Gallery in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne at  14 The Highway, Mount Waverley 3149.  The Gallery presents  exhibitions by community groups and emerging and established artists.

APRIL 16  TO  MAY 8    ‘MATERIAL GIRLS

MATERIAL GIRLS showcases clothing (focusing on multicultural and indigenous), accessories, quilts, craft, photographs and stories from all over the world.  Exhibits include fabrics, fashion, scarves, saris, kimonos, tribal and culturally interesting items.  Local community groups and individuals have contributed to the collection.

About this web site    The Highway Gallery first developed a web site through on the State Library VicNet  domain in 2000 and this was expanded and modified over the years. This current WordPress site was first established in 2011 by the Waverley Art Society until the society closed in 2014. From 2015 the site is maintained by the Friends of The Highway Gallery.
